Shirley Miller
Age 75, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born on May 12, 1937 in Burdett, the daughter of the late Edwin and Emily Rarrick. She was a lifelong member of the Burdett Presbyterian Church and served as Deacon, Elder, and Clerk of Session. She was in charge of the church Harvest Dinner for many years. She also worked as a sitter for children whose parents were at work. She was a Mets baseball fan, enjoyed country music and loved having her dogs and cats. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her loving caretaker April and her friends at Jefferson Village for their love and care. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Saturday (Oct. 20th) from 1-2pm; followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm and burial at Hector Union Cemetery in Burdett.
