Age 22, of Canandaigua, NY, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 as a result of a snowboarding accident in Killington, VT. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, NY on Friday, January 24th, from 2:00pm-6:00pm; followed by a service to celebrate his life at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00am at Sugar Hill Cemetery in Watkins Glen. Skylar graduated from Athens High School and later studied at Finger Lakes Community College. He worked for Valet Park of America, Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, and was a sub-contractor with Robert Seely. He is survived by his parents, Keith and Penny Ormond of Wayland; mother, Holly Ormond of Zephyrhills, FL; sisters, Hayley Ormond, Emily Ormond and Kelsey Hensley, all of Wayland; brothers, Dillon Comstock and Ashten Henderson, both of Zephyrhills, FL; grandparents, Kathryn Naylor of Beaver Dams, Jack and Emma Walmsley of Sayre, PA, Elizabeth Helms of Zephyrhills, FL and Carl and Sheila Sutton of Athens, PA; very special girlfriend, Charice Miller; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Coty Comstock and grandfather, Henry Haight. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
