Stanley C. Covert

Age 86, Trumansburg, NY, passed away April 12, 2023.

Stan was born in Montour Falls on June 27, 1936, the son of LeRoy and Leona (Clyde) Covert.  He owned and operated the AM-PM Convenience Store in Watkins Glen.  He was predeceased by his wife Winifred in 2012, their son Daniel S. Covert in 2016, and his brothers Norman, Richard, Thomas and LeRoy Jr.  He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Shelly Covert of Trumansburg; brother, William Covert of Corning; and three grandchildren, Vanessa Covert, Valerie Covert-Knight (Thomas Knight), and Ethan Covert; and great-grandson Logan Knight.    

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Sunday (April 30th) from 12pm-2pm; followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.  He will be buried at the Union Cemetery of Hector in Burdett.
