Terrance “T” Hawthorne
Age 66, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Schuyler Hospital.
Terrance was borne on June 30, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. He lived at the Willowbrook State School as well as Bronx, Suffolk, and Monroe Developmental Centers before making his home in Watkins Glen since 1997 where he has been loved and cared for by staff from The Arc of Schuyler.
Terrence is survived by his family, friends and volunteers of The Arc of Schuyler, including special friends Joyce McKinney and Amanda Jakubowicz.
He will be best remembered for his enthusiastic “high five” greetings, his love of music, root beer and people watching. Terrance loved to attend sporting events with his friends, making trips to Buffalo to see the Bills and the Sabres. His quiet yet mischievous presence will greatly be missed.
Friends are invited to call at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Wednesday November 30, from 11:00am – 12:00pm. A celebration of Terrance’s life will be held at 12:00pm at the funeral home, followed by interment at Montour Cemetery and a reception at The Arc of Schuyler, 210 Twelfth St.,Watkins Glen.
