Thomas R. Donnells

Age 77, of Dundee, NY, passed away at home on August 25, 2024 after a long illness. 

Tom was born on January 12, 1947 in Elmira, New York to Thomas J and Margaret (Jablonski) Donnells. He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Mayes) Donnells, his daughter, Kaleigh Donnells of Arizona, his step-daughter Kasey Cudney (William) of Le Raysville, PA, and step-son Henry Leal (Kari) of West Tisbury, MA.

Tom graduated from Notre Dame High School in Elmira and was an avid lifelong learner. He completed his educational training in Humanities and Social Sciences at Corning Community College, and Business Management and Economics at East Tennessee State University before entering the Printing and Packaging Industry. He developed and implemented hazardous materials safety and handling programs for numerous plant sites. Tom earned his Graduate Credit Certificate from the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and an MBA at Alfred University. His specialty training focused on Safety and Health, HazMat and OSHA Compliance and Training. He retired in 2016* from the job he loved at Vulcraft of New York in Chemung as their Safety Manager.

Tom was very proud to be an American. He was very patriotic and respected our country's flag, even making sure that the flag in the yard had a light to illuminate it at night. He always wore T-shirts and hats with the American flag. He enjoyed fishing on Seneca Lake and loved shooting trap.
