Age 97, of Watkins Glen, NY was called home on Tuesday August 4, 2022.
Born in New Britain, CT she was the daughter of the late Felix & Anna Stepanik. She is survived by her daughter Linda, son Dick (Anne) and daughter in law Lisa, grandchildren Darryl (Paula), Jessica (Matt), Amy (Kevin), Joshua (Amanda) Great grandchildren Kyra, Oliver, Alexander, Bella, Evan, Arianna and Zavier, sister-in-law Ann Fanguillo and many nieces and nephews, and her very special dog Rachel. She was predeceased by her husband Louis and son David and in laws Vito and Marguerite Centurelli.
After the family moved to Watkins Glen, Wanda worked at Elmira College, Schuyler Hospital and Drs. John & Ann Costello as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She was a deacon in the Watkins Glen Presbyterian Church. She was involved with Schuyler County 4-H, Business Professional Women, Layfette Concerts in the Park, Town of Reading Planning Board, Elmira Polish Arts Club and earned her pilots license thru the Dundee Flying Club. She loved Watkins Glen and felt the family made a good move to New York State. She loved to travel going to Poland, Italy, and Mexico.
Upon Wanda’s request, there will be no service. The family will hold a celebration of her life at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation made to the Schuyler County Humane Society (SchuylerHumane.org) or the Village of Watkins Glen-Concerts in the Park.
