Age 77, of Baker Hill Road, Watkins Glen, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon R. Laughlin; mother, Violet M. Laughlin; children, Michael Laughlin and Rebecca Laughlin; both of Watkins Glen, Barbara William, Charles (Lysa) Bassett, and Lori (George) Brandell, all of Washington; sister, Frances “Sue” (James) Chu, of Pennsylvania; 8 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordon (Betty) Swarthout of Beaver Dams, Gladys (Richard) Easling, of Tyrone, Deedee Allington of Painted Post, Kenneth (Nancy) Swarthout of Corning, Keith (Carol) Swarthout of Beaver Dams, Cynthia Baker of Addison and David (Kathy) Swarthout of Beaver Dams; special friends Rodney and Kathy Andrews, Corky Kent, Tina Canfield and Mr. and Mrs. Rod Stampps; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grand daughter; and several nieces and nephews. Wes was retired from RL Callahan, Inc. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 1-3pm; followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm.
