William A. Barnes
Age 60, of Montour Falls, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2011.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St, Watkins Glen, on Monday, March 7 from 2-3 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 3 p.m. A graveside committal service with military honors will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Barnes. He is survived by his son, Christopher (and Beth) Barnes of Elmira; brother and sisters, John Barnes of Watkins Glen, Patricia (Loren) Walp of Odessa, and Catherine (Bob) Buckingham of California; companion Lisa Bryan; special niece Heather Henderson; and several other nieces and nephews.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps; a member of the Odessa American Legion Post #676; and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
