Wilma J. Paige
Age 85, of Grove City, Ohio, passed on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at StoryPoint Nursing Facility, Grove City, Ohio.
Wilma was born at home in the Town of Hector, New York, the daughter of the late Harris R. and Martha (Edmister) Jenkins. She was the youngest of the six Jenkins girls.
Wilma was born at home on the Jenkins' dairy farm in 1941. In 1949 the family home burned to the ground and the entire family lived in very primitive housing for almost a year to the date of the fire, when the new home was completed and ready for the girls and their parents to move into.
Wilma was a graduate of Odessa Central School in 1960. She was active as class Secretary, Yearbook Staff, Track, Homemaking Club, and the Buffalo Yearbook Conference for four years.
On June 24, 1960 she eloped with her husband, of 61 years, Rudolph "Rudy" Paige. They moved to Ohio, where her husband served in the US Air Force, and continued to reside there for their entire life. She worked for Borden Foods in Columbus, OH for many years. Wilma and her husband had a love for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, even having her own Harley. They belonged to a group called “The Farrow Harley Owners Group” of Columbus, Ohio. They regularly went on “Breakfast Rides” with the group; and traveled thousands of miles together. Wilma will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh. Wilma was very outgoing and had a bubbly personality, while her husband had the same infectious smile but very soft spoken. She absolutely loved her kitty cats!
Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Rudy, on November 21, 2021. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary Hubbell, Marjorie Bailey, Harriet Bailey and Irene Hubble. Wilma is survived by a sister, Kay Jenkins Kannegiser of Maine as well many, many nieces and nephews spread across the entire United States.
