Age 91, formerly of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Wilma was born on August 31, 1922 in Searsburg, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Estella (Wilcox) Shriner. Wilma graduated from Trumansburg High School and the Elmira Business Institute. She worked and volunteered at Schuyler Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Facility for many years. She was also a member of the Moreland Community Presbyterian Church and Grange. Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Irving L. Russell; son, Arthur Russell; and brothers, Arthur and Harold Shriner. She is survived by her sister, Eloise Light of Trumansburg; her son, Harold (Janett) Russell of Watkins Glen; daughter-in-law, Denise Russell of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Christian Russell of Beaver Dams, Niki (Antonio) Castellaneta of Watkins Glen, Rory Russell of Watkins Glen, Geoffrey (Anna) Russell of Sherrills Ford, NC, Shannon (Chad) Trickle of Iron Station, NC, Sean (Amy) Russell of Denver, NC, and Zachary Gordon; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Braden Castellaneta, April and Michael Russell, Courtney and Carlee Trickle, and Andrew and Ashley Russell. A memorial service will be held at the Moreland Community Presbyterian Church and announced at a later date.
